MAKITA’S NEW SHREDDER IS ‘SUNDAY MORNING’ QUIET!

Makita has extended the number of shredders in the Outdoor Power Equipment range with the introduction of a tough, slow-speed shredder that will handle timber up to 40mm in diameter. Running at just 42rpm the heavy duty toothed grinding cylinder reduces the timber to shreds suitable for composting or for use as mulch.

Powered by a 2,400watt, 240volt motor the slow speed cylinder rotation also contributes to a low noise machine with a maximum noise output of just 83.7db, which is perfectly acceptable for the neighbours - even on a Sunday morning. The Makita GSE2400 shredder is fitted with an electronic brake, which stops the cylinder rotating within 3 seconds of pressing the stop switch.

Mounted on a robust tubular frame with trolley wheels for easy movement and weighing just 32kg, this shredder will prove particularly useful for the larger garden and for domestic garden contractors operating on site.
